Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek 13 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Pada siklus I, ketuntasan mencapai 62%, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 92%, dengan peningkatan sebesar 30%. Aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, dengan keterlibatan lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. The research method in this study is quantitative experimental type. The population in the study was class XI TBSM SMK Negeri 3 Takengon in sampling using purposive sampling, the sample selected was class XI tbsm 1, as the experimental class and class XI tbsm 2 class as the control class. The data collection techniques used are observation techniques, multiple choice question tests, and the data analysis technique used in this study is to see the percentage of classical completeness in each class. The results showed that: Learning outcomes showed a significant increase by using learning media in the form of animated videos. In the control class itself, the percentage of class completeness at the first cycle stage was 50% complete and 50% incomplete, while in the experimental class the percentage of completeness was 60% complete and 40% incomplete. Furthermore, in the second cycle stage, there was an increase, namely, in the control class the percentage level of classical completeness was 85% complete and 15% incomplete, while in the experimental class the percentage level of classical completeness was 90% complete and 10% incomplete. Character education is an important part of education that serves to form students who have a positive attitude, responsibility, and good social ethics. The implementation of character education in learning (social studies), especially in history material, is one way to instill character values in students through learning history, by learning history students can apply and model the values contained in historical events. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. with observation, interview, and documentation methods to collect data. The results obtained from this study show that teachers succeeded in integrating moral values such as honesty, responsibility, and tolerance through interactive teaching methods and analysis of historical figures. This approach not only improves students' understanding of historical material, but also encourages the application of character values in everyday life. The research employs a quantitative experimental approach, targeting the entire XI IPS cohort at SMA Negeri 11 Medan. Using purposive sampling, Class XI IPS 1 was designated as the control group and Class XI IPS 3 as the experimental group. Data collection methods included observation, multiple-choice tests, and analysis through normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests (t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05). The findings reveal that (1) documentary film use in history lessons significantly enhances students' learning experiences, particularly on the topic of Japan’s entry into Indonesia, by offering an engaging and visual approach. (2) There was a notable improvement in learning outcomes in the experimental group compared to the control group. The post-test average score in the experimental class was 78.69, while the control group scored 78.31. Additionally, hypothesis testing results for both classes produced a sig.
