Abstract

Fluktuasi suhu dalam mesin freezer dapat menurunkan kualitas produk dan meningkatkan konsumsi energi. Penelitian ini memodelkan dan mensimulasikan temperatur freezer berbasis Phase Change Material (PCM) menggunakan pendekatan matematis perpindahan kalor dan simulasi numerik dengan Python dan ANSYS. Berbagai jenis PCM seperti Dry Ice Gel, Liquid Komersial, Garam 20, Lilin, Minyak Sawit, Garam 36,4, dan Air diuji untuk menganalisis stabilitas suhu. Hasil menunjukkan Liquid Komersial menghasilkan beban pendingin terendah (22,959 W), namun simulasi temperatur dengan Python dan ANSYS menunjukkan bahwa Lilin dan Dry Ice Gel lebih optimal dalam mempertahankan suhu rendah. PCM secara umum mampu menstabilkan suhu dengan karakteristik yang berbeda. Analisis sensitivitas menunjukkan konduktivitas termal mempercepat pendinginan, sedangkan Cp dan kalor laten tinggi mempertahankan suhu stabil lebih lama.
