Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai sejauh mana Google Classroom berperan sebagai infrastruktur pembelajaran digital bagi mahasiswa baru Program Studi Teknik Informatika Universitas Palangka Raya. Perubahan pola belajar di perguruan tinggi yang semakin bergeser menuju sistem daring dan campuran membuat platform ini banyak digunakan, namun efektivitasnya pada mahasiswa yang berada di tahap awal adaptasi akademik belum sepenuhnya dipahami. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran, dimulai dengan survei kuantitatif untuk mengukur pengalaman mahasiswa dalam menggunakan Google Classroom, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pendalaman kualitatif untuk menjelaskan temuan yang muncul. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa menilai Google Classroom mudah dioperasikan, membantu mengakses materi, serta mempermudah pengelolaan tugas dan tenggat waktu. Fitur notifikasi dinilai sangat membantu menjaga keteraturan belajar, meskipun masih ditemukan keluhan mengenai kejelasan instruksi dosen, keterlambatan umpan balik, dan hambatan teknis seperti koneksi internet. Temuan wawancara mendukung hasil tersebut dengan menampilkan kebutuhan akan bimbingan lebih lanjut, baik dalam aspek metodologis maupun penggunaan fitur platform. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Google Classroom cukup efektif mendukung proses pembelajaran mahasiswa baru, tetapi kualitas implementasinya sangat dipengaruhi oleh pola komunikasi dosen serta kesiapan infrastruktur pendukung.
